Pressure - Poetry
The pressure that weighs on you
Like a ton of bricks
Digging into your shoulders
Day after day
Night after night
Are a result of your
Resistance to obedience
Holding on to what is suffocating you
This ludicrous idea that you can bear it all
Will keep you frustrated
Day after day
Night after night
Let the burdens fall off
Throw them at Jesus’s feet
Let him restore your posture
Release the pressure
And be free
